Chris is a writer and journalist.

His work has been published in The Age and Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, Courier-Mail, The Canberra Times, Crikey, Business Spectator, The Monthly, Overland and Arena Magazine.

His latest book is Raising Girls Who Like Themselves co-written with his wife Kasey Edwards and published by Penguin Random House.

Chris has co-authored The Chess Raven Chronicles, a young adult fantasy fiction series with his wife Kasey Edwards under the pen name Violet Grace. The books in the series are The Girl Who Fell and The Girl Who Chose, published by Black Inc.

Chris holds a PhD in Politics from Monash University and is a respected journalist, researcher and academic.

In 2013 he received an Office Learning and Teaching National Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning for his work in developing www.upstart.net.au, a magazine for emerging journalists.
